THOUGHT COUTURE

How we show up in the world aesthetically IS communication.

Jillian Thought Couture is costume art designed to provoke conversations about more than just beauty.

Bespoke and one-of-a-kind accessories and gowns artistically designed to ignite meaningful conversations.

To commemorate the USA’s 250th birthday I designed a limited-edition, thought-provoking, extra-long necklace. The black and gold necklace is 114” long (290cm), stringing together all 52 words of the preamble of the constitution reminding us of our unique and special history. A reminder of the exact words that our founding fathers chose when they designed our precious nation. See Shoppe

SCULPTURAL GOWNS

and Installations

Target:Peace Sculptural Gown: A wearable garment made from vestiges of war as a symbol of ‘swords into plowshares’.

PROJECT #1 - Target:Peace!

Don’t Fret Sculptural Gown: Made from 2,564 hand drilled guitar picks linked together with copper wire. The silhouette mimics a 1930s bias-cut, silk gown to evoke the feeling of a second skin. An homage to the enveloping and transformational power of music.

PROJECT #2 - Don’t Fret
